Fairmount Partners Advises AGI in its $700 Million Sale to Ansys

Ansys (NASDAQ: ANSS), the global leader and innovator of engineering simulation software, announced that it completed the acquisition of Analytical Graphics, Inc. (“AGI”), a premier provider of mission-driven simulation, modeling, testing and analysis software for aerospace, defense and intelligence applications for $700 million.
Fairmount has advised AGI for over 20 years, including on financings, corporate structure and development, positioning and support with three spinouts that are all funded and remain in the Philadelphia region:
Cesium, which provides breakthrough software for managing and displaying 3D images across the web
OneSky, which has pioneering capability for managing manned and unmanned air traffic, like drones and air taxis
ComSpOC, which collects data, tracks, simulates and projects satellites and related at a level of accuracy and time orders of magnitude higher than any other system
