David K. Reed is a director at Fairmount Partners. Mr. Reed is active in several industries and has focused his efforts largely in the business services sector. His clients have included IT consulting firms, interactive agencies, and outsourced pharmaceutical services businesses. He has completed more than 40 acquisitions or divestitures and has raised growth and buyout capital for companies in diverse industries.

Prior to co-founding Fairmount, Mr. Reed was a director with Investec Inc. and its predecessor, PMG Capital. Previously, he was a vice president with First Union Capital Markets. Mr. Reed began his career at CoreStates as a commercial lender, providing buyout and expansion financing to a diverse range of manufacturing and service businesses.

Mr. Reed received his B.S., summa cum laude, in business administration with minors in finance and history from Villanova University.
