Cecilia V. Gleason, Ph.D. is a vice president at Fairmount Partners. Dr. Gleason specializes in mergers and acquisitions and capital raises for middle-market companies, primarily for the pharmaceutical outsourced services, healthcare, and biotechnology industries.

Prior to joining Fairmount, Dr. Gleason was an assistant vice president within the corporate finance healthcare groups of Investec Inc. and its predecessor, PMG Capital Corp. She has completed transactions in all areas of investment banking, including several private and public offerings outside of healthcare in the business services and technology sectors. Prior to investment banking, Dr. Gleason was a finance associate for Pfizer Inc.'s Animal Health Group, and also worked within the environmental consulting division of Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC).

Dr. Gleason received her Ph.D. in cell biology from the University of Virginia, her M.B.A. from the University of Virginia's Colgate Darden School of Business Administration, and her B.A. from the University of Virginia, where she was an Echols Scholar.
