Andrew T. Greenberg joined Fairmount Partners as managing director in July 2006. He also is CEO of GF Data Resources, an M&A research firm that collects and publishes confidential data on private equity-sponsored transactions in the $10-250 million value range.

Prior to joining Fairmount, Mr. Greenberg ran M&A practices at Brown Brothers Harriman and Commerce Capital Markets. He has advised dozens of owner-managed private companies on sales, mergers & acquisitions and oversees the industrial and consumer products practice group at Fairmount.

Before his move to investment banking, Mr. Greenberg was the youngest Secretary of Commerce in the history of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He served in that position from 1991 to ‘94. 

Mr. Greenberg began his career as a corporate lawyer with Drinker Biddle & Reath in Philadelphia. He has an A.B. from Brown University and a J.D. from Harvard University.

Mr. Greenberg current serves on the Board of Directors of Atlantic Central Bankers Bank and of the Free Library of Philadelphia. He is a regular contributor to Private Equity Professional Digest and speaks frequently on industry trends and practices.
